Every holiday season, kids start rattling off all the toys they want in rapid fire succession. And the best part is, half the time we have no idea what they’re even asking for. It’s like a big game and we’re on the losing side. Like any reasonable adult, we start saying “add it your list for Santa” on a loop. So, if you’re kids have been asking for Pikmi Pops (what?), we’re here to give you the run-down.
First things first, Pikmi Pops are not lollipops. And while you don’t eat them, you do however, pop them open to find little plushies and other tchotchkes inside. They are from the creators of Shopkins. (It’s all making sense now, isn’t it?) These cute little critters are also scented. Of course they are! Depending on the size you buy, they’ll also get surprise messages, prizes, charms, stickers, lanyards, dangler strings (okay), collector’s guides and stands. It’s almost like they were trying to narrow down what would appeal to kids, and then said – hell let’s just do all of it!
Plot twist – They come in different sizes.
- A large Pikmi Pop, has a large plushie, with a secret hidden pocket (which contains additional surprises).
- A Pikmi Pop Surprise Pack contains 2 scented mini plushies, 3 “prizes”, surprise messages, and dangler strings, along with a collector’s guide and stand.
- A Pikmi Pop Single Pack includes 1 scented mini plushie, a surprise message, a dangler string, and a collector’s guide and stand.
As of press time, there are over 45 mini Pikmi plushies to collect, in 12 different scents.
