The Review Rundown:
I have a confession to make. My entire wardrobe is basically from J. Crew. And so in everyone else’s. Look, I love J. Crew (genuflect) but, honestly, I was ready to change things up and not look like everyone else in my office. By the way, remember offices? After reading about Everlane in Elle Magazine (remember magazines?) I decided to give them a shot and made my first online purchase, which was a super comfy cashmere sweater. More on this in a minute.
Since I’ve come clean about what my wardrobe used to look like, I might as well come clean on what the inside of my closet looks like. It’s a sea of black and grey. For real, everything I own is about 90% black, 9% grey, and 1% midnight blue. It’s like I’m always funeral ready. When it came time to pick out my cashmere sweater I went with a colorful pink with fuchsia stripes around the wrists. I must admit this is the most comfortable cashmere I’ve worn to date and the price was only $100. I will never spend more than that for a cashmere sweater again. If you’re in the market for one, do it!
Basically after my colorful sweater success it gave me the confidence to try other colorful options. I picked up some fun t-shirts and even a few jumpsuits (that was pushing the limits for me, but I did it!). They have a bunch of other really unique picks this season, too. And of course you can’t go wrong with their extremely popular jeans that have now been dubbed the most comfortable pair of the year.
Overall I’ve been really happy with all my Everlane purchases…and there have been a lot. My only real issue was a pair of sneakers I purchased were a bit too snug on me even though it mentioned they fit “true to size.” I was bummed, but they were really good about just sending them back for a refund or they’d provide me with another size. So, all in all, a really good experience. Give them a whirl if you haven’t yet.
These are a Few of Our Favorite Things:
While I already mentioned what my most recent obsessions are, I put together a quick cheat sheet so you can quickly get to some of their most popular things:
- Their Most Popular Cashmere Sweaters – Check It Out Here
- Their Activewear + Leggings – Check It Out Here
- Their Best Selling Items Today – Check It Out Here
- Their prices are actually shockingly good.
- The cashmere sweater was the comfiest I’ve ever worn (lightweight, but warm).
- The “You Choose What You Pay” sale is pretty amazing and like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
- While shipping is free (when you spend $75) I was bummed it wasn’t just free overall or factored into the price.
- I can never seen to get that Meghan Markle tote bag because it’s always out of stock. #sad
The Real Deal With Coupons + Promo Codes:
As you know I considered myself a professional shopper and deal hunter. I may have spent hours looking for a promo code for my Everlane purchase, but came up totally short. What a bummer. It seems like when you don’t need a coupon you see them everywhere, but whenever you actually do need them they’re nowhere to be found!
I actually just emailed their customer service team via the contact form to ask them about their promo code policy (and I may have asked if they could send me one…shameless). They were pretty nice to even email me back and they did fill me in that they don’t have coupons, but that I could save 10% if I signed up for their newsletter. It was free and took less than 5 seconds and, yes, I did get my 10% code for my first purchase. So basically that’s where we stand these days. I’d love for us to be able to partner with them so that I could share a code with our Jenraly readers, so maybe one day they’ll take us up on that offer!
So for now, check out some of our fave promos from Everlane in January 2021.
