The Review Rundown:
The best gift I ever received in the history of forever was a subscription to MasterClass. I got mine last Christmas (it was only for 3 months) and it’s basically the only thing that helped me survive the insanity that was “this year.” The classes from Master Class are actually fun and you really do learn some pretty amazing things. It’s even given a confidence boost that I didn’t even know I needed.
I love MasterClass mainly because I’m a total dork and love to learn, but I’m also pretty much celeb-obsessed so I love to learn lessons directly from them. They also always seem to add new experts and classes to their roster and at last look they have more than 90 famous instructors and more than 1,000 classes. Each class in a course is around 10-15 minutes and I was able to really do it at my own leisure. However, the truth is that I consumed these classes so quickly. What started out as something I’d do after work from my couch had turned into watching and taking notes during the day and sometimes even when I got up in the morning. What can I say, quarantine really provided me with some extra time on my hands.
Now that I’m officially obsessed all I really want to do is spread the word to everyone and anyone who will listen. Hopefully my friends and fam aren’t reading this article (they never really do anyway) because I’ve gifted them a subscription for the Christmas holiday, some got them as birthday gifts, and even as a high-school and college graduation gift. If you want to go the gift card route, check it out here.
You know what else is pretty cool? They have these Live Sessions you can watch live and even ask questions in real-time to your celebrity instructors. It really gives it that personal one-on-one vibe that the regular classes don’t really have. In fact, MasterClass lets you watch some of the Live Sessions before you even subscribe so that you can check out how they go, if you like them, and more. You can watch older Live Sessions from the likes of Simone Biles, Anna Wintour, Dan Brown, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Dominque Ansel, and Bobbi Brown just to name a few. Check out the latest here.
These are a Few of Our Favorite Things:
Hopefully you’re getting the gist of all that Master Class has to offer and you’re ready to take the plunge yourself or gift it to someone you love. Here are some of our top favorite instructors and what they teach:
- Alicia Keys Teaches Song Writing and Producing – Check It Out Here
- Brandon McMillian Teaches Dog Training – Check It Out Here
- Gordon Ramsay Teaches Cooking Classes – Check It Out Here
- Tan France Teaches Style – Check It Out Here
- You really can do this at your own pace.
- There are a ton of classes and instructors to choose from.
- I’ve learned to many amazing things and feel good I did something for myself!
- You can only sign up with a year membership and not monthly.
- I’ve never found a coupon or promo code that works, ever. Prob because they don’t have them!
The Real Deal With Coupons + Promo Codes:
It would be nice to be able take a little money off your yearly subscription, but MasterClass doesn’t have promo codes or coupons to do that with. At least I’ve never found any so, please, don’t waste your time like I did! For the past 2 years I did notice that on Black Friday they offered a deal for 2 memberships for the price of 1. It’s totally short lived and you only have a day to do it, but if you want an amazing deal for a bunch of kick ass Christmas gifts for people on your list, this is the time of year to do it. Once Black Friday is over I never saw that offer again until the following year.
I always recommend to go to the official MasterClass website and take a quick look at the top of their homepage because if they are offering some fun promo, you’ll see all the details there. Check out their official website.
So for now, check out some of our fave new classes promo selections (and “coming soon” instructors) from MasterClass in April 2021.
