If you’re a big fan of gathering around an outdoor fire pit, but not a big fan of the incessant smoke, definitely give Solo Stove a try. They feature a variety of size options with one thing in common – low smoke.
The Review Rundown:
Probably the best gift I ever bought my husband was the Solo Stove fire pit for the backyard. Sure I bought him other amazing gifts in the past (thank you very much) like his favorite cologne and, of course, his favorite Yeti cooler, but this fire pit was really the icing on the cake and I have nowhere to go but down after this.
As times have really changed and I mean really totally changed, I spend more time with my family in the yard than ever before. In fact, I spend more time with my family than ever before. Anywhere. This year my husband and I turned our backyard into basically an outdoor bar, complete with a wooden corn hole set, outdoor speakers, bistro lights, our Hookey game hanging from the tree, and even an outdoor movie screen complete with waterproof projector. Basically we’re never leaving.
The only thing that was missing was a decent (and safe) fire pit. Since his birthday was coming up I knew I had to get creative and since his favorite summer activity is a beach vacation bonfire, I decided to bring a little bit of that home this year. I didn’t know a ton about personal fire pits but, honestly, buying one from places like Home Depot or Wayfair made me nervous.
I felt confident about the brand in general, especially after The Wirecutter named them one of the best fire pits of the year. So I went to the ultimate source (Solo Stove) and they made it really easy for me to figure out exactly which one to get. I settled on the Solo Stove Bonfire and off I went. The husband loved it and we use it regularly. My only regret is that I didn’t go for the bigger model. The good news is that this one is portable so we can store it away when we need to or even bring it with us on vacation when we rent that beach house that’s been on our list for year.
I loved how this one is a smokeless fire pit because while I love the fire smell, I don’t love when my clothes and entire being smells like it. It’s also totally portable (it weighs about 20 pounds), log-friendly, has low smoke, and is stainless steel. What more could we really ever want?!
Now’s really an amazing time to give these a try. I know you won’t be disappointed. My only additional recommendation is to kick in a little extra to get the bigger model. I wish I had, but I may upgrade anyway in the coming months.

The Real Deal With Coupons + Promo Codes:
Of course we all want to save a little money these days. I had a tough time finding a promo code or coupon offer online that actually worked. In fact, I didn’t find one that worked at all. I was still able to save a bit on my Solo Stove though. The one I chose was having a 25% off sale and when I added my email address to subscribe to their newsletter I got an extra $5 off promo code that I was able to use too.
While I’m not a hero, they do have a cool Hero Discount for first line responders and the military. After doing some research it appears that if you are one of these heroes (thank you!) you may be able to get an extra 10% off. Check out those details here.
I also noticed that on the fire pit I purchased I was able to get free shipping and they even offered free returns, which really is helpful. I found some options on Amazon as well and, at times, I’ve seen anywhere from 10% – 25% off. I’ve listed Amazon picks below.
Solo Stove hasn’t sent Jenraly any partner discount codes, but if they ever do we’d love to share them with you guys too. I’ll keep you posted if and when that ever happens!
So for now, check out some of our fave promos from Solo Stove in January 2023.
